Blue Swimmer Crabs

Blue Swimmer Crabs

Port Vincent will quickly become one of your favourite getaway spots because it caters for every taste and age group. Have a look at the links to local attractions, to the right, or scroll through this list that we just brainstormed on your behalf:

  • Fishing for shore based and offshore anglers
  • Crabbing for blue swimmer crabs can be done straight out front of the park
  • Swimming is very safe for young children for the waters are quite shallow around Pt Vincent
  • Boat ramps, one adjacent to the sailing club the other at the marina
  • Walking trails. Award winning walking trails, one north the other south of the town
  • Marine Studies Centre at the primary school adjacent to the park offers tours by arrangement during school terms
  • Marina facilities for long and short term berthing
  • Sporting associations including Golf, Lawn Bowls, Sailing and Tennis
  • Snorkelling for novices and experts alike around historical jetties or on sunken shipwrecks
  • Surfing is popular around the rugged coastlines on the southern Yorke Peninsula

That’s a quick list and we are already thinking of more things to add. The best solution? Ask us. We’re here to help you build wonderful memories (and hopefully become that place you visit time and time again)!

  • The Camping Ground
The camping ground, showers and toilets are very clean, neat and tidy. It is a pleasure to stay here so close to the sea with the views. Hospitality was very good. I would definitely recommend this park to others. Not too crowded and peaceful. Thanks for a great stay, Ron & Cathy B. Share this […]

Hi Mark and Sharon, We had a wonderful stay – and we all miss it – especially our son (age 6) who really misses his new-found friends he made at the park.  The cabin was really nice and our neighbours throughout the park were all wonderful.  You’ve done a great job.  Regards, Tracy Share this page Hide […]
