We are always very busy over the off peak season here at Port Vincent Caravan Park & Seaside Cabins. This is the time of year when we can do some improvements and renovations to the park before we get busy again.
A few years ago we renovated our ladies amenity building . We pulled down walls and opened up the space. We levelled the floor and re-tilled in a large modern neutral tile. We installed new toilet systems, large vanity bench, modern basins, large mirrors and new lighting. It is a beautiful, light, bright space that we have received many compliments over the years.
Our toilet blocks has always been a functional, clean and tidy space but as they has not been updated for many years they was getting very dated with multi-coloured/mission brown tiles. I don’t mind a bit of a retro look but it was like stepping into a time warp from the 70’s. Now it is a modern & spacious area, just what our visitors would expect in a modern day caravan park.
Our next renovation a was to refit the shower blocks for as you renovate one area, it highlights another that may need some attention. These were also a blast from the past with orange and yellow floral tiles and again, that mission brown everywhere which was so popular back then.
We stripped the walls bare and re tiled in a big neural non slip floor tile and gorgeous grey feature walls. They all have ample floor and bench space and one of these includes a family/unisex bathroom which is very popular.
So if the idea of roughing it during a camping trip doesn’t appeal to you, then why go camping when you can go glamping?
